❛❛ The water… it’s all… dark? Dark and slimy, black. ❜❜ - Lily to Ginrai ( on visiting his homeworld again. she's very disturbed. )
“Hm.” He made the mistake of visiting a rather polluted part of his world. Gazing down at the murky sluge beneath him, he admits that it feels…..alien. “My father has old me once when I was younger, of a being that fed on pollution, gaining strength from the toxins. An ancient being, from beyond the stars.” The sludge bubbles and pops as it if were alive, and Ginrai takes a small step back. He takes note of a slimy, black head briefly breaching the surface before sinking into the black abyss below, earning a weary sigh from the fox. “….I had hoped the stories were simply fiction. But I suppose that was wishful thinking.”
What I think has me most excited for this movie is that this is the first time since the Millenium era that this aspect of Godzilla has really been on screen.
I like the Legendary movies, their antihero Godzilla works great for the Showa films they pay homage to, and Shin Godzilla is an actual masterpiece in every aspect and the idea of Godzilla being a mindless agonized animal lashing out for survival is brilliant and terrifying in execution. These are fantastic adaptations of the character that I love.
But Godzilla, the one we know from the original 1954 film, from Heisei, from Millenium’s darkest films, is an avatar of hate.
He’s scarred from the atrocities of human wars, flesh burning from nuclear destruction. It’s not that he’s just trying to survive, and it’s not that humans just happen to be in his way.
The teenager jumps a bit at her greeting, having been occupied with his smoothie, and he clutches his chest in surprise. “Ah! Wha-….Attea? Geez, scared the tar outta me.”
the incursean teen in turn bursted into laughter “your faace!” she snorted “s-sorry also um listen i-i wanna apoligize for everything ”
A light blush forms on his face, which he shakes off and sets his smoothie down. “Sheesh. You and Kevin both, I swear.” Wait. “Apologize? For what? Did you destroy Kevin’s car? Just uh…” He scratches his head, trying to think of a funny quip, but comes up dry. “I. I got nothing. What’s up?”
“I’ve been tasked to keep an eye on you, since you appear to have something the Decepticons are after,” said Arcee towards your muse, who she rescued from a Decepticon attack. “So, mind telling me what you know?”
Arcee drove around the forest for hours, but found nothing out of the ordinary. So, she decided to head into town. Activating a hologram of a human driving her in her bike form, so the humans won’t freak out. It also helps her blend in and scan the area to make sure there aren’t any Decepticons around.
Getting the feeling of being watched, the man stops by a large park full of people, and turns around to see what was following him; Ravage peering down at him from the rooftops. The human speaks into the communicator Arcee gave him and hopes any of the Autobots would answer. “So…I don’t know who to ask about this, but I’m sure you guys don’t have pets right? Because a metal jaguar is mean-mugging me from a roof. I’m at a park right now, so I guess he won’t attack with so many people around.”
This man took so much longer to crack than I would have what a PROFESSIONAL
Plotting, scheming, etc.
This was filmed at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which rescues, rehabilitates, and releases orphaned elephants in Kenya (among other conservation efforts). Charity Navigator has given it a 4/4 star rating, and you can make donations here or “adopt” a baby elephant here.
THANK YOU FOR THIS IMPORTANT ADDITION.
I have enjoyed this video so much and am very happy to share ways to help the babies!!
That man held it in until he knew for a fact that they’d need another take anyway, and not a moment less.
Hachi was equally silent for the remainder of their lunch break, quietly picking at his food and finishing off his meal. He was unsure of what they would do in the future, but he knew he had to get a handle on his powers, if he liked it or not.
Their father chokes on some sushi at yer question, and awkwardly pats his chest. “Uh…n-no. We’ll call that a….partial success, shall we? Let’s try a form that doesn’t need to breath underwater….like a dragon. Or a bear. A bear might be easier. Let’s go with the bear first.”
“A bear? That’ll be easy dad, why can’t we turn into a dragon first?” Their dad magics away their bento boxes and scratches his chin. “Because there’s a chance you might set the forest on fire, or you might not even turn into Eastern style dragons. Your forms will be a reflection of who you are, regardless of where you were born.”
Miwa did want to turn into a dragon, but, well, the thought of not turning into a eastern dragon was… disappointing. That was her heritage!… and yet a bear… “What should we do to transform into a bear? Do we just… picture a bear or…?”
There were Werefolk that were Bears in the village – at least one. She knew what a bear looked like, but…
“Bears are hunters just like Wolves… so…” Maybe it wasn’t too different?
“There’s not that much to becoming a bear. They’re not that much different to a wolf. The reason why I suggested a bear first is that they’re similar in size to your wolf forms, and they’re carnivores. Well, technically bears are omnivores, but semantics.”
Hachi thinks about it, and find the logic in their dad’s words. He closes his eyes, thinking about becoming a bear. After a few moments, his form changes to that of an adolescent brown bear….And his first act was to scratch himself with his claws. “Ah…. that’s nice.”
“I’ve been tasked to keep an eye on you, since you appear to have something the Decepticons are after,” said Arcee towards your muse, who she rescued from a Decepticon attack. “So, mind telling me what you know?”
Arcee nods before she takes off and transforms into her bike form, before driving off. She heads back to speak with Optimus and the others to let them know what happened.
While letting them know about the tension between the group the human is with and Optimus, who didn’t seem to know about this, but understands their reason for not liking him.
He’s interested as she changes forms and drives off, but puts that question away for later. It takes a bit but he manages to return to his base without encountering any Decepticons. Once there, he sends out his monthly report, but leaves out any mention of Cybertronians.
After a few days has passed, Arcee is seen on patrol around a forest area after getting some reports of strange activities around here. She suspects a Decepticon scout, but the others doubt it.
Optimus had given it some thoughts, but wants to work with the human and his group to better protect this world. And hope to make it their new home, till they can find a way to get Cybertron back.
The next few days passed without incident, and it made him a bit paranoid. He wasn’t a proper soldier, but his training made his aware this peace won’t last forever. He resolves ro drive around the city in a tow truck for a disguise, hoping to encounter one of the Autobots.
Little does he know he was being stalked by a metal jaguar from the rooftops, eyeing him like a proper predator.
